     This book was a bit trickier to understand then the first one, even though the characters are not all new and I was not reading it for the first time. This book was also a little more on the side of pure fantasy than the first one, which in itself was probably 8 parts fantasy, 1 part realistic fiction. i still enjoyed the reading very much, and was just as shocked at the cliffhangers and plot twists as I was the first time.

I really loved the way that it moved between realistic fiction and fantasy. At times I forgot and almost couldn't tell. The change in perspective also helped and made it engaging. It's like going back through the series and seeing what happens behind the scenes, what happened when you as a reader were not ready to see what the book shows you. If you have never read it but have read the Harry Potter series I would definitely recommend it.

Author: Jennifer A. Nielsen Rating: 8.7/10      I liked this book because it was a fantasy book that was different from the ones I usually read. A certain amount of information was kept from the reader, but it was done in a way that made me want to keep turning pages and finding out what would happen next. I love a good fantasy book that has mystery elements, so this book worked really well for me. If you don't enjoy not knowing things, this book will likely not be for you.
